If you want a few more health features than the SE offers (e.g. ECG and blood oxygen sensor) but don’t want to pay the new-gen price, get a slightly older Series 7 and you’ll get the best of both worlds $315 is one of the best prices we’ve seen for this watch in a while, but it’s only available in the midnight colorway.

If you don’t envision yourself regularly checking your blood oxygen levels or heart rate, you may opt for a more basic (and more affordable) Apple Watch experience via the 2nd Gen SE. The watch is equipped with the S8 chip (which makes this SE 20% faster than its first-generation predecessor), crash detection capabilities, and a slight design upgrade to the case. Plus, it’s over $100 cheaper than the Series 8.
