This year’s CES ended on a high note, with Samsung’s new OLED G9 unveiled in style. This guide looks at the Odyssey OLED G9 announcements and makes sure that release dates, prices and specs are all covered.
Despite the plethora of high-end gaming monitors announced at CES 2023, one display in particular stood out. Samsung Odyssey OLED G9.
As you might expect, it ends up on the shelf with the same 49-inch 32:9 screen as its predecessor, albeit with minor tweaks. It’s more than just a minor adjustment. It now has a new OLED display instead of the VA or Mini-LED panel used in older variants.
On top of this, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is expected to have all the same fan-favorite features we’ve seen on the 2022 G9.
That said, this article will be regularly updated with all the latest Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 news and announcements to ensure you never miss an update on this exciting new panel.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9: Expected release date
The Odyssey OLED G9 was beautifully announced at CES, but there is still no official release date from Samsung.
Last year’s Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 launched in July 2022, so we expect a similar date for the OLED G9.
That said, last year’s model was officially announced in March, so it’s possible that the OLED G9 will launch in Q2.
How much does the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 cost?
No official pricing has been set for the Odyssey OLED G9 yet, but if previous variants of the G9 were fine, it wouldn’t be a cheap monitor.
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 launched last July for $2,300, and this year’s OLED offering is expected to sell for around the same price.
That said, prices for both OLED and Mini-LED monitors are dropping, so it’s possible that the OLED variant will launch for under $2,300.
