The fin structure has been modified to allow optimal water flow while increasing the cooling surface. A revised jet plate with an improved inflow engine ensures the best possible water distribution to the cooling fins. Fully chrome-plated copper base resists acid, scratches and damage. In addition, chrome plating achieves uniformity and brightness that cannot be achieved with nickel plating.
Eisblock coolers aren’t just technical improvements. Aurora’s design is visually quieter and simpler, with only her one O-ring surrounding the entire cooler. Additionally, the design around the cooling fins and jet plate provides a clean look. The lighting from the digitally addressable RGB LEDs is even better distributed throughout the cooler as a result of the chrome plating.
In terms of pricing/availability, Alphacool has already pre-ordered these new GPU blocks in their online shop, priced at €159.98 (around $172 USD) each.
