Amazing Rare Antique Wood Carving – Daruma Kobe – Meiji Era? 1868-1912. Much research has led me to believe that this is an antique Daruma Kobe wood carving from Japan dating from 1868 to 1912 during the Meiji period. One is carved wood and the other has a paper top and a wooden handle. Carved red wood with natural wood face, hands and feet. great eyes. Flip it over and it pops out of your face. All of these fine pieces refer to authentic antique Kobe Daruma dolls. (Interesting to read about these antique figurines online) A great addition to a collection or starting a new collection. In very good antique condition with some wear to be expected. No cracks or chips.
