Use the popular ChatGPT AI bot to message tinder match. Also, A sleeker version of Siri Also completely misunderstand a basic fact, depending on how you use it. Now someone is using it to create malware.
In a new report from the security company cyber arc(opens in new window) (and reported by InfoSecurity Magazine(opens in new window)), researchers have found that ChatGPT can be tricked into creating malware code. Worse, the aforementioned malware can be difficult for cybersecurity systems to deal with.
This developer used the brains of ChatGPT to build a super-smart ‘Siri’
The full report covers all the core technical details, but for the sake of brevity: it’s all about operations. ChatGPT has content filters to prevent serving anything harmful to users, such as malicious computer code. CyberArk’s research ran into it early on, but actually found a way around it.
Essentially, all they did was force the AI to follow very specific rules (show code without explanation, don’t be negative, etc.) with a text prompt. The bot then gleefully spit out his malware code as if nothing had happened. Of course, there are many extra steps (e.g. the code must be tested and verified), but ChatGPT managed to craft the code maliciously.
So please be careful. Or just step off the grid and live in the woods. At this point, I don’t know which one is preferred.
