The flexible protective fabric, tiled like crocodile skin, can withstand punctures, cuts and abrasions. It can be used as armor in hazardous industries and work environments, or to make long-lasting shoes.
Materials designed to withstand mechanical damage such as stabs and punctures are often hard and heavy due to the high density of fibers used to make them difficult to pierce. This can make it difficult to create practical armor and clothing from them.
