Fixed cameras, especially indoors, can be quite limiting. Somehow, it seems like the important things are always done outside the frame.The Nooie 360 Cam 2 builds on the original, with full 360-degree motorized pan and tilt to see what’s going on. The purpose is to capture dolphins more broadly.
The low price, offline recording, and auto-tracking make this a neat little camera, but it needs a few extra options to make it perfect.

A bit like the silhouette of a minion, the Nooie 360 Cam 2 looks decent as far as security cameras go. The Nooie maintains the same basic shape and size as his original Nooie 360 Cam. The sleek and small body is easy to put anywhere, so you don’t have to worry about it.
Just put the camera on the bookshelf. It doesn’t really matter where you put it, as the motorized pan and tilt will take you where the camera is looking.
The box has a USB power cable that plugs into the back of the base. The cable’s round connector snaps neatly into place and provides a secure connection.
There is a cloud camera service, but the Nooie 360 Cam 2 has a microSD card slot under the lens that accepts cards up to 128GB.

As with the original, the standout feature here is the motorized pan and tilt. There is a 355-degree panning option, which combined with his 101-degree field of view on the lens allows the camera to capture a full 360 degrees.
The tilt is 94 degrees, divided equally between top and bottom. Again, this range of motion makes it easy to look up at the ceiling or down at the floor and take it all in.
Dive into the app and there are several ways to move the camera. You could swipe your finger across the screen to move, or use the on-screen joystick instead. The camera was reliable, reacting quickly to motion, and had very little lag in the live feed.
From Live View, you could record video, save still clips, and chat with anyone on your feed with the high-quality two-way call option.
Since this is a security camera, one of the Nooie 360 Cam 2’s main jobs is to detect and record movement. It only has basic motion detection built in, no people detection. To reduce the number of alerts you receive, you can set activity zones and adjust motion sensitivity on your camera.
In theory this is fine, but the Nooie 360 Cam 2 has the same issues as many pan-and-tilt cameras. It does not automatically return to the home position. Also, like the EZViz C8W Pro, you can’t save your favorite positions for easy recall.
If you went into live view and moved the camera around, it meant your activity zones were covering the wrong area, meaning you could miss future alerts.
This is a problem highlighted by the motion tracking feature. With this turned on, Nooie 360 Cam 2 will automatically track the detected motion. This is great for seeing what’s going on. However, once the motion stops, the camera will remain pointing to its last position, and future events may be missed. The default home position to which the camera returns after a set timeout makes life better.
Alerts can be scheduled using three schedules. If it is unscheduled, Nooie 360 Cam 2 will still record but will not send notifications. You can also toggle the camera on and off from the app if you want some privacy, but I wasn’t able to schedule this to happen automatically.
Nooie 360 Cam 2 can not only record video, but also listen to audio with a special option to detect baby crying. However, general sound detection is annoying and often sends alerts too often. Again, you can schedule noise alerts, but the camera also records when notifications are muted.
Video clips are saved to your SD card or, if you subscribe, to the Nooie cloud. The service includes 24/7 recording with 30 days of history for a reasonable €4 per month (€48 per year) or 30 days of event history for €6 (€72 per year). I stuck with the SD card option.
Nooie hasn’t made the clips easily discoverable yet. It’s possible to filter by date, but finding a specific clip required scrolling through a weird timeline with A and P suffixes instead of AM and PM.
Actually there is no option to download the video clip. Alternatively, you can use the record option to record the clip to your phone’s library. This means you can watch videos in real time in the app. I found it easier to remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into the PC.
Live video feeds can be viewed on compatible smart displays using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant skills.

While the original Nooie 360 Cam had a Full HD video sensor, the Nooie 360 Cam 2 has a QHD sensor and records video at 2304 x 1296.
During the day, I found the video to be a bit darker, especially when the camera was pointed at the office door. However, there was enough detail in the frame to make it easy to see what was going on and to easily recognize individuals.
At night, the camera automatically switches to IR mode and shoots video in black and white. This makes the image more pixelated, but we could clearly see what was going on and the individuals were easily identifiable.The IR light has a good range and illuminates the entire test room.

If you want good security cameras with easy access to video clips and the ability to keep an eye on one area at all times, look elsewhere.

For the price, the Nooie 360 Cam 2 offers a lot of features and its video is very high quality, surpassing many other budget cameras. The Nooie 360 Cam 2 is difficult to recommend as a pure security camera, as it is often displaced without an option to return to the home position.
If you want something cheap that can reliably send notifications, the Ring Indoor Cam is a better choice. However, if you want a camera that you can use to remotely monitor your home and see what’s going on, there are plenty of things you’ll love here. there is.
