A week ago it was discovered that the upcoming Poco X5 is in the hands of a cricket star, but did you know that a Pro version is also coming soon? The vendor has already listed the device as “coming soon” and has a nearly complete spec sheet.
of Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro According to the retailer, it features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400px (20:9). Unfortunately, the refresh rate isn’t mentioned, but it should be 120Hz like the Poco X4 Pro.
Anyway, this phone is powered by the Snapdragon 778G. This is a complete upgrade of the 695 inside the X4 Pro. The retailer lists two memory configurations for him at 6/128GB and 8/256GB. Both have microSD card slots. The phone appears to run Android 12 with his MIUI 14 for Poco.
Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro (probably a reused X4 Pro image)
The main camera, like last year’s model, features a large 108MP 1/1.52-inch image sensor (0.7µm pixels) with an f/1.9 aperture. However, thanks to the upgraded chipset, 4K video recording is now possible (albeit at 30fps). Other cameras on the back are the 8MP ultra-wide angle (118°) and his 2MP macro. On the front, a 16MP selfie camera.
The power supply system is the same as before, with a large capacity battery of 5,000 mAh and 67 W dedicated wired charging. For protection, it has Gorilla Glass 5 and an IP68 rating on the front. The last part doesn’t sound like Poco’s MO, so it might be a spec sheet mistake (the X4 Pro is only rated at his IP53).
No word yet on pricing. At launch, the X4 Pro was priced at €300 for the 6/128 GB model (slightly cheaper with the early purchase price) and €350 for the 8/256 GB model. Overall, the Poco X5 Pro doesn’t look much different, but its Snapdragon 778G makes a big difference in performance.
retailers are Xiaomi Poco X5It sticks to the Snapdragon 695 (as seen on Geekbench) and features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display (1,080 x 2,400px) with a 120Hz refresh rate, so we suspect the Pro will also have a 120Hz display. The base X5 only has an IP54 rating and sounds more reliable.
This vanilla model is similar to the Pro, but it starts with a 48MP main camera, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide (118°) and 2MP macro (but don’t expect 4K. The selfie camera drops to 13MP.
Poco X5 (probably reused image)
Another change is the battery. The capacity remains at 5,000mAh, but the charging speed drops to 33W.
Like its siblings, the Poco X5 is listed in 6/128GB and 8/256GB configurations (expandable with microSD). There is no pricing information and no Poco X4 to use as a guide. The X5 comes in his three color choices of green, blue and black.
Note: The Poco X5 Pro image looks the same as the X4 Pro. Maybe Xiaomi didn’t change the design, but maybe the retailer reused the old image. The specs appear to be very close to the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed.
As for the vanilla X5, the images look very similar to the Redmi K50i, although the specs have little in common (plus the listed colorways don’t match the images). The specs are pretty close to Redmi Note 12 with the exception of the chipset.
