Apple’s 2022 iPad Pro lineup is the most capable and impressive iPad lineup we’ve seen to date, making it the best overall choice. It is also the most expensive long shot. The design on the outside hasn’t changed much, but on the inside is Apple’s M2 processor, which consists of 20 billion transistors, 25% more than the M1. This is the exact same processor that Apple uses in its new 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
After using the 12.9-inch iPad Pro for a while, I found it to be faster and more capable than any iPad model I’ve tested so far. Download speeds up to 2.4Gbps, twice as fast as its predecessor, 15% better performance, and up to 35% better graphics performance.

The Pro also supports the 2nd generation Apple Pencil and has new hover features thanks to the M2 chip. This feature works like this: When the tip of Apple Pencil approaches the iPad Pro’s display, within 12 mm, parts of the interface are activated in apps that support new features. The Smart Connector is located on the back of your device. It gives you the option to use it with the Magic Keyboard, which has backlit keys and a trackpad, or Apple’s his Smart Keyboard.
And while the differences between the 5th gen and this 6th gen model are more subtle, the M2 chip shines here, making it a powerful tablet. Combining iPadOS with the M2 chip, the iPad Pro gets you closer to a laptop without actually buying one.
