We are currently in the fourth quarter of 2022 and making our last major announcement of the year. At this point, rumors of the Galaxy S23 series are popping up almost every week, and they’re getting more and more credible. The trio will be the first to not feature an Exynos chipset at all, just a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
As for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it was announced in Q4 and the first phones to feature it premiered shortly after – the iQOO 11 and 11 Pro (we even had the 11 reviewed).
The Oppo Find N2 arrived just in time for 2022 (which also needs to be reviewed). The display has been improved. The cover is now up to 120Hz and both are slightly wider. The folding body has lost some weight thanks to the new hinge. The only drawback of Find N2 is that instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 he used Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

This quarter, Google announced the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, along with the new Pixel Watch. The new phone uses the Tensor G2 chipset and has an updated camera. The Pixel 7 Pro has new ultra-wide autofocus and a new sensor behind the zoom camera, but the Pixel 7 is slightly smaller than the 6.
Finally, the year ended with the announcement of the Xiaomi 13 series. The centerpiece of the China-only (for now) series is the Xiaomi 13 Pro with a 1-inch main camera sensor and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. But outside the main camera, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 50MP 3x camera and a wide f/2.0 aperture that could shake things up in the world of smartphone zoom cameras.
