This year will be the first time the US federal government has policies to meaningfully address climate change, thanks to the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in August 2022. The approximately $370 billion that the Act will put into climate and energy programs will accelerate the race to reduce carbon emissions in the United States and influence climate action around the world.
