No matter how well you build it, no matter how long you test it, PC component failures can and will happen. From our years of experience, there are very few things our technicians don’t see from a support standpoint, but one of the most common he always has is a power failure. The key is to be able to quickly identify the cause of the problem. This will allow us to address the issue and fix it as easily as possible.
Indication of power failure
Your power supply may be failing or failing completely if you are experiencing any of the following issues:
- Power-on failure (system does not boot or locks up)
- spontaneous reboot
- Intermittent lockups during application
- Hard drive and fan not spinning at the same time (+12 faults)
- Power supply overheating due to fan failure
- Small voltage sag causing system failure and reboot
- Electric shock if you touch the case
- System hangs completely, motherboard LEDs do not light up
- Smoke from PSU or other components
- Powering on the computer trips the local circuit breaker
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms with your Velocity Micro PC, or are concerned about another type of component failure, our support team can help. Every PC we sell comes with US-based Lifetime Support.
