For those who haven’t seen the trailer M3GANyou should watch it — it’s a movie about an AI doll that starts killing people to protect the children it’s tasked with watching. There have already been quite a few viral moments thanks to his affinity for dancing and delivering lewd lines before killing off.

That’s the character we started chatting with on Wednesday. Now, to be clear, the DM chat was pretty stylized, think: his Smarterchild in AIM. But it was still pretty fun. If you open a DM @meetM3GAN “Hello, I’m M3GAN. Your new best friend. Shall we chat?” automatically greets you.

The bot asks how you feel, gives you a little compliment, and then takes a creepy turn. I tried speaking in conversation, even silly, but M3GAN was not very appealing. She just wants to get to the point. Again, this is Smarterchild’s situation, not her ChatGPT. Here’s a screenshot of how the conversation went.

It seems that M3GAN wanted to rampage from there. Oh that’s why I wanted to share a viral gif of her dancing.
It’s honestly not the most responsive bot.

I tried to test whether the bot understands the context, but it just comes up spontaneously with a series of simple questions. was I was at risk, but it was basically stuck in reset. Over time, you’ll find that bots are basically just farming for engagement. Because it’s an ad for a movie.
Still, I got a nice picture of M3GAN holding my photo. And that’s what a meme is made of.
