Today Realme announced a 240W charging system. This is the first smartphone industry to reach that level of power. Now the company has confirmed which phone will use it first – Realme GT Neo 5.
The phone itself is still a secret, but multiple leaks have given us a good idea of what to expect. Although there is another GT Neo 5 story of his 150W charging that uses the Dimensity 8200 instead.
Anyway, the phone features a 50MP main camera with OIS (IMX890 sensor), an 8MP ultra-wide angle, a 2MP helper and a 16MP selfie camera. 1,240 x 2,772 pixels), 144Hz refresh rate, and high frequency PWM dimming (2,160Hz).

The phone also features over 13 temperature sensors that monitor the charging process and shut down if heat exceeds expected levels. Realme also claims the battery retains 80% of its initial capacity after his 1,600 charging cycles.
Realme has already revealed a charger that delivers 240W of power, supports both 20V/12A and 10V/24A operation and is surprisingly small. It’s only 5% larger than his previous 150W adapter used in the phone’s predecessor, the Realme GT Neo3 (150W).
With a 150W charge, the GT Neo 3 has a 4,500mAh battery, reaching 100% charge in just 16 minutes in our tests. There is no information about the battery capacity of the GT Neo 5 or how long it takes to fully charge.
The Realme GT Neo 5 with 240W charging is expected to be announced next month.
