In Swath, California, atmospheric rivers have been pouring heavy rain since the end of December, and storms are expected to bring an additional 20 trillion gallons over the next two weeks. Great floods are a problem. Severe flooding has wreaked havoc in the San Francisco Bay Area, leaving at least six of her dead.
But it can also provide some respite to states suffering from severe water crises caused by massive drought and overuse.
