Are editors actively choosing the words every day?
That’s a bit of a complicated answer. When I got the game from Josh Wardle, a New York based programmer who made games…he had to come up with a lot of words and basically programmed about 3-4 years worth of solutions . I haven’t talked much publicly about how he chose these words, but it wasn’t random, it wasn’t computer. He had a methodology, and he wanted it to be a common term that we all know, and he baked it into it.

We want this game to live up to its initial success.But [the Wordle editor will]Go there and tweak. We had a little fun at Thanksgiving with the word feast, and it generated a lot of conversation.
