Apple’s mixed reality headsets are finally arriving this year, but don’t hold your breath just yet. Prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reconfirmed his estimate that Apple AR/MR will appear at the end of Q2 2023, or possibly in Q3 2023.
Kuo’s latest research points to problems with drop testing mechanical parts and a lack of software development tools.
Kuo says Apple is unlikely to announce an AR/MR headset in January, and will likely push the announcement to the WWDC conference in spring or June, depending on how development progresses.
