There’s no better budget console on the market right now than the Xbox Series S, especially when it comes to the new generation (yes, we don’t say “next gen” anymore). It’s affordable, compact, and boasts almost all the great features that its more sophisticated sibling, the Xbox Series X, has to offer. This includes blazing fast load times, 120 FPS and HDR support, ray tracing, and more. The only thing you don’t get is a built-in disc drive or the Series X’s true 4K resolution, but you can play games at 1440p. Add an Xbox Game Pass subscription and you get a great combo for the price.

Let’s be real: PlayStation 5 didn’t boot with enough storage. Given how expensive they are (not to mention how hard to come by), it’s a frustrating reality, but that’s where we are. We highly recommend purchasing an additional SSD to pair with your console.This one from Western Digital is top of the line and is $130 off during the Best Buy sale.

We love gaming laptops because they have a lot of the power you get in a desktop rig, portability, and useful features. This one is no exception, boasting high-end internal components like an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, AMD Radeon RX 6700S GPU, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. If you’ve never owned a gaming laptop before, this is a great start.
