A poll by ARRIS Composites found that 73% want electronics with long battery life. Nearly 6 in 10 (58%) are looking for portable gadgets that are more durable than previous technologies, and 40% want their next device to be lighter and more portable.
Interestingly, only 1 in 3 said they were planning to buy “latest” technology for 2023. In fact, previous research shows that 1 in 8 people feel anxious when their smartphones and digital devices run out of battery.
53% of users eagerly anticipating the latest releases this holiday season can’t wait for their next high-tech phone to hit the market. Another 25% are already queuing for the latest laptops, and 19% yearn for the latest handheld video games to fill store shelves. If you’re worried that playing too many video games isn’t good for your child, recent research suggests that regular gaming can actually improve brain power!

Regardless of what’s on their shopping list this year, the vast majority of Americans (91%) say they trust the reviews they read about the latest electronic gadgets. In fact, this latest poll of over 1,000 consumers found that 96% do their homework before buying an electronic device. Nearly half (49%) say they spend days reading the latest gadgets, and 25% actually read reviews for weeks.
