TM Roh to reveal details about a Galaxy-exclusive chipset that Samsung MX is developing

Samsung has reportedly secured a dedicated version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the Galaxy S23 series, running prime cores at 3.36GHz instead of the usual 3.19GHz. However, we also hear that the Samsung MX (Mobile eXperience) division has formed a team to develop an in-house chipset.

We may find out more about this at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1st, when the S23 series will be announced.according to ice universeTM Roh himself reveals details about the new chip – the president and head of Samsung Electronics’ MX division.

For those of you who don’t know, Samsung Electronics (which makes Galaxy phones) is a separate company from Samsung System LSI, which designs the Exynos chipset. The new chip is said to be designed by a new team at Samsung Electronics and will be manufactured using the second or third generation of Samsung’s 3nm Gate All Around technology.
