A mental health service that allows people to receive words of encouragement and advice from others tested AI-generated responses without prior notice to the recipient.
Rob Morris, founder of Koko, a free mental health service, said: A series of Twitter posts How the company tested how it used chatbots to provide mental health support to about 4,000 people. The chatbot was powered by his GPT-3, a public AI built by San Francisco-based company OpenAI.
