Xbox has announced a collaboration with the mysteriously popular cookie Oreos. The unflavoured pack will be sold in a special Xbox pack, imprinted with six different images of him, including “his iconic A, B, X, Y controller buttons.” I’ve never looked at a button on a controller and thought it looked iconic, but that’s probably why I haven’t done any marketing work.
Sponsorship wouldn’t be complete without in-game proof of your devotion to Oreo. Mix and match cookie designs and enter them in different orders for armor packs in Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, and Halo Infinite You can unlock Oreo-themed items such as As an additional thank you to the cookie mogul for providing data, you can enter a drawing for various kits including “Custom Oreo Hardware”. Sadly, I don’t have an image of this, but I’m envisioning an Xbox Series X shaped like a cookie right now.
Xbox Oreos will be available this month (natch in some countries). It joins a list that includes Doritos, Mountain Dew, Krispy Kreme, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Rockstar Energy Drink, just the latest in a long list of food partnerships involving Xbox. It’s a bit of a theme to make you think Microsoft’s next food partner should be in the salad business.
There’s an official site to accompany this partnership that promises some interactivity, but right now it just sits there with a “coming soon” notice to check back on January 16, 2023. at the store.Perhaps they will influence the latest round Shoplifting with DLC (opens in new tab)probably not.
