NexiGo Hellocam is provided by American technology brand NexiGo. Never heard of NexiGo? Maybe it’s because it’s pretty new in the field. Only in 2020 will it become a manufacturer of home and office technology (after previously being a successful retailer for other brands).
The company’s first product was the webcam N60, which was a pretty big hit as remote work exploded during the 2020 and 2021 pandemics, so the first NexiGo product we’ll be reviewing is the webcam. I think it’s appropriate.
The camera sample I got for review and used myself as a remote worker in a work meeting last month is the recently introduced Hellocam. It has a 1080p webcam with integrated dual mics, Windows Hello functionality, face enhancement, and an automatic privacy shutter.

NexiGo Hellocam Review: Design and Build
The black NexiGo Hellocam comes right out of the box attached to the monitor clip. On either side of the lens are wings of plastic casing that contain the device hardware, touch sensor, and Windows Hello lens for the camera.
The plastic case is matte black and, thankfully, smudge-resistant, making it a welcome change in the Fingerprint City home office. The automatic privacy shutter that blocks the lens every time the camera is switched off is probably the most striking element when viewed from the front and its bright red color makes it very clear if it’s in place .
The clip attaches easily and securely to a variety of monitor shapes without wobbling and with minimal fumbling required. Then connect it to your computer via USB.
NexiGo Hellocam review: features and performance
Setting up the NexiGo Hellocam was very easy and proved to be a true plug-and-play experience. On Windows, you can adjust camera settings through your computer’s camera app. Setting up Windows Hello was very quick and easy. I got a little confused with facial recognition during setup because I have a portrait on the back of my desk.
After setup, every time I log into my computer, it automatically wakes up and snaps my face in, so the Windows Hello feature works very smoothly and well.
Webcam security and privacy have become paramount due to constant reports of webcam hacks, so equipping your camera with a privacy cover or shutter is a must. This is an automatic electronic cover, a very red cover that clicks into place whenever the camera is turned off. I would prefer a manually operated physical shutter as that security feature is effectively useless if the electronic shutter fails, but there have been no reports of such a thing happening with this camera and in my review sample It has worked perfectly through considerable use.
One of Hellocam’s touted features is facial enhancement with 3DNR technology. This is meant to subtly brighten and enhance the look to make it stand out a little more on video calls. As a 1080p camera rather than a 2K or 4K camera it will never look as detailed and sharp as those but the image quality here is totally up to my expectations and better than native laptop cameras or most cameras It turns out that it’s clearly been upgraded.Recently used surveillance camera. The camera is also equipped with dual noise-cancelling microphones, positioned to catch conversations on either side of the camera and across the room. I’ve never had a hard time hearing myself during a meeting with multiple people, even when moving between rooms or changing the volume. Picked up, but seemed to perform well enough to pick up and enhance further conversation whenever I was speaking.
NexiGo Hellocam Review: Price
Speaking of price points, the NexiGo Hellocam is priced competitively at $69.99 (UK price TBD), in line with many other 1080p cameras, but unlike many similarly priced Hellocam also has a privacy shutter and a simple Windows Hello feature. Competitor.
Should I buy NexiGo Hellocam?
The webcam market is huge, chaotic and confusing. It’s virtually impossible to definitively compare the Hellocam to all other contenders in the $50-$100 price range, but what I found while using the Hellocam was that it works effortlessly and is well worth the price. It’s a camera that offers excellent image quality for the price (using £100/$100-120 cameras) and feels sturdy.
So if you’re considering a NexiGo Hellocam for webcam, I don’t see any compelling reason not to get one.
