Twitter seems to be full of bugs, and exterminators won’t stop by anytime soon. There was graffiti on the walls. Twitter’s staff is down after major layoffs in November and December. The company closed its Seattle office late last year, but not before things got so bad that employees brought their own toilet paper to work. Earlier this week, a Twitter employee was kicked out of his Singapore office for unpaid rent.
The absence of these workers can now be felt while using the site. Users are paying attention to this issue, but Twitter doesn’t seem to be paying attention. Instead of fixing them, we’re messing around with features that don’t need to change in the first place, like image display and view count. The Twitter lights may be on, but is anyone actually home?
