A growing number of iPhone 14 Pro users are reporting strange display issues when booting or unlocking their device. The green and yellow horizontal lines appear on the screen and later appear to disappear during the boot process, so the user experience is not completely compromised.
Luckily, Apple is aware of the issue and plans to release a software update soon to address the strange horizontal lines. It is realistic to hope that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming minor patch or iOS 16.3. iOS 16.3 is currently being tested by Apple and members of our public beta program.
Notably, Apple’s response was unofficial and was discovered in an internal memo by people familiar with the matter. The issue was first reported last month, so Apple’s response has been fairly quick. Let’s hope the next software version fixes it.
