If you’re one of the many people who’ve worked from home in the past few years, you’re familiar with sofa necks. It’s the horrible pain that comes from sitting on the couch staring down at your laptop all day, or having your computer on your lap instead of on your desk.
But what if you could sit on the couch all day without a sore neck? It’s renowned for being the largest couch desk Couchmaster has ever made, fitting better for all body types, posture preferences, and providing a huge amount of space to work.
I’ve had my Couchmaster Cyboss for over a month and loved it from the moment I set it up. Perfect for both work and gaming, as my wife will attest after hours of Fortnite sessions on her gaming laptop while stationed at Cyboss. Add an entire office her area to your home so you can get up and move around when you’re tired of sitting in the same place every day.

Couchmaster sells Cyboss on their website and on Amazon for $175. Admittedly, a practically cushioned he seems like too much for a three-piece set and a hard desktop desk, but the product feels as high quality as the price suggests.
Inside the box are two vacuum-sealed cushion pads with upholstered canvas attached. Like a typical sofa pillow, these canvas covers can be unzipped to remove the inner foam if they need to be cleaned for any reason.
Like one of the bed mattresses you can order online, Cyboss foam cushions take about 24 hours to fully return to their original shape and size after being vacuum sealed. Each foam cushion has a series of pockets on one side, as well as an optional mouse holder pocket that can be attached with the included adhesive strips.
Each cushion measures 9.5 inches wide, 8.5 inches high, and 26 inches long, a few square inches larger than other desk cushions sold by Couchmaster.
The Cyboss desk is a high-quality bamboo slab, very similar to the standing desks you’ll find downstairs in your basement office.
Similarly, the extra large desk surface is less than 39.5 inches long, 15.5 inches wide and 0.5 inches thick.
There’s so much space here that you can easily place an entire plate of food and drink next to your laptop, and perfectly accommodate your mouse, phone, and other things without feeling cramped.
The Cyboss desk is a high-quality bamboo slab, very similar to the standing desks you’ll find downstairs in your basement office. It’s not as heavy as oak, but it certainly has some weight to it. Even if you drop it or throw your keys at it, it won’t be easily damaged or broken.
To get ready for work, simply place the cushions waist-length apart, sit between them, and pull your desk over the cushions.
Because it’s a bamboo desk, it has a much better structure than the particle board junk you get at IKEA. The desk has a laptop vent in the middle and a cup holder on the left side that fits even the oversized mug I own.You can put the best Android tablet (opens in new tab) A dedicated slot on the right side is perforated to allow the cable to slide through.
The desk comes with a handful of faux leather strips that you can stick to the front chamfered edge, but I decided not to use these as I thought they spoiled the bamboo aesthetic.

How does the Couchmaster Cyboss feel?

If you’re worried about the stability of your wooden desk on cushions (or sitting on couch cushions), don’t worry. The Couchmaster’s cushion is very firm and soft enough to support the weight of your desk without shifting, while still providing excellent elbow padding while you work or play.
The canvas material is soft and feels great against the skin. This is not a scratched or polished canvas or anything like that. It’s actually incredibly similar to my sofa fabric material. This can be pretty similar to most upholstered sofas available today.

After several hours of sitting, even with comfortable weight shifting, the desk remains firmly in place and barely moves. It still has plenty of room to support it. This is huge and I love it.
As I mentioned at the beginning, ergonomics are the main reason I don’t work outside my desk. I didn’t like looking down at my laptop for long periods of time.Working at a table is often a semi-painful experience. I may have done too much.
But that’s why I love Cybos. The 8.5 inch tall cushion makes the laptop several inches taller than a standard lap desk. (opens in new tab) I have used it. Besides, the design works well with the sofa’s natural cushions. This means that the desk doesn’t actually sit on your lap, so you can actually lean forward a bit.
This further reduces the distance between the laptop’s display and my head, so I’m only looking down at a slight angle. That, combined with my overall posture, greatly improves my long-term comfort when working on the couch all day.
One of my comfort complaints is that the edge of the desk where the laptop’s keyboard sits is straight. I really wish these were chamfered and slanted, like the armrest portion of my desk surface. You will find it a little uncomfortable.
It turns out that gaming on Couchmaster Cyboss is as much fun as work. My wife was hooked to start using it for gaming sessions on her laptop. Huge An upgrade from the lap desk we have.
There’s absolute space here, and you can easily set up a large old mouse pad without feeling like it’s taking up too much space. Included in the box is a nice woven mouse pad.

I think the pad has enough grip to work fine while gaming without glue. i like flexibility.
If you have a big gaming laptop that needs a lot of airflow, don’t worry. Cyboss has some large ventilation grilles that should be more than enough for any machine, regardless of its size, type, or vent configuration.
These are very well laid out and thought out beforehand. I really appreciate that it’s not only centrally located on my desk, but wide enough to move my laptop horizontally while still allowing plenty of ventilation space.
Overall, this is about as close to perfect as I’ve seen it from my couch desk. The ideal combination of weight enough to
