WASHINGTON, DC, Jan. 16, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — A free webinar informational session for individuals interested in joining the 2023 Consumer Product Safety Professional Certification Program will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24. It takes place at noon. (central time). Upon successful completion of the program, professionals will be able to use the title of Certified Product Safety Professional™. The certification program is offered by Virginia Tech in partnership with the Society of Product Safety Professionals (SPSP) and its educational partner, ADK Information Services, LLC.

Individuals can register now for the January 24th webinar to reserve a spot. The webinar he is scheduled for 45 minutes.

In this webinar, a panel of accredited program alumni will share their experiences and other details about the program. Panelists include her Shelia Gottschalk, President of the SPSP (CPSP™-2019). Melissa Cairns, 3M legal expert (CPSP™-2019).

Program details will be shared during the webinar. This includes an early registration allowance of up to $1,000 toward program tuition for individuals who are paying members of SPSP. Benefits are limited to those who officially enroll in the program by February 7, 2023. Interested individuals may apply for admission to the course by completing an application form on the registration site.

The program will kick off with a two-day opening workshop on March 22nd and 23rd at VT’s Arlington campus. Following a series of webinars dedicated to various product safety topics, the program will conclude with his two-day Closing Assessment Workshop on June 6th. This includes multiple-choice exams, individual essays, and case studies written by applicants, which are also discussed in oral presentations with the Review He panel.
Candidates for the Professional Certification Program must meet the following criteria:
– Have at least 10 years of consumer product safety work experience or 7 years of experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Eligible candidates include individuals working in the following areas:
– the private sector, including consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, distributors, importers or supply chain companies;
– Persons who act as professional consultants to supply chain companies such as consumer product manufacturers, retailers, distributors, importers or test lab technical experts and specialists;
– Engineers, including engineers focused on design, responsibility, reliability and safety;
– Attorneys practicing product liability and regulatory law,
– Professional staff of trade associations with membership consisting of consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, distributors, importers and supply chain companies
– Members of non-governmental organizations, including those in the education sector
– Regulatory body professionals with relevant experience in the consumer product safety field.

Candidates must pay an application fee of $175 to cover the various verification services required for the program. The tuition fee for the program is $5,400. An early registration stipend reduces the final tuition fee for paying SPSP members to $4,400.
