Phanteks, known for its epic range of PC peripherals, recently released the Phanteks Eclipse G500 series. The range is forward-thinking, innovating its case to provide optimal airflow. By doing this, they want better airflow, which provides better cooling and improved performance.
Moving case for space and airflow
First off, I’m no expert when it comes to building PCs. My first gaming PC was pre-custom built by the team at OverclockersUK and still stands firm. This is my first time moving a case and I’m a little nervous, but I’m well prepared and I’m doing my best. It’s little things like this that learn more about the system you use.
design
The Phanteks Eclipse G500A D-RGB comes in two colorways, black and the white we see today. Obviously his DRGB in the model number indicates that this is the DRGB version. However, if you’re not a fan of DRGB, Phanteks offers the Eclipse G500A performance version.
The chassis of this case is made of high quality steel with tempered glass side panels. Both side panels are hinged and feature a magnetic locking system. PC builders will appreciate that both side panels are fully removable.
Tempered glass panels allow easy access and viewing of components. On the right side is the Phanteks cable management system, which provides clean wiring throughout the case. I’ll show you mine, but I’m ashamed! I’m still using the smaller standard cable that I used on my previous build. At some point we will be looking at some new extension cables soon and will provide an update when the build is complete.
Features
As for the I/O, the on/off switch is located at the top center of the front of the case. At the top of the case are two LED buttons (color/mode), two USB 3.0 ports, AUX, and a USB Type C 2.0 port.
We cover all grounds when it comes to motherboard support. It supports ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX, and E-ATX with a maximum width of 280mm. I currently have a ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming motherboard installed. It’s just the right size and it’s not too small to fit in a case. My GPU, on the other hand, looks a little lost. I think it’s time to upgrade.
Coming back to the DRGB elements in this case, we have a fully integrated DRGB lighting system. As standard (on this particular model), it comes pre-installed with three Phanteks M25-140 D_RGB PWM fans. There are also two LED strips on the sides and front of the case that can be controlled via I/O or compatible software.
look carefully
The interior of this case has been designed with great precision. For example, the top fan space has enough space to mount a radiator without overlapping the MOBO. Not only does this give you a clean build, it makes things a lot easier when doing deep cleans and installations.
Phanteks Eclipse G500A DRGB boasts a high airflow design. It has an ultra-fine performance mesh on the top and front to provide excellent dust filtration. Unfortunately, the room I live in now has exposed brickwork, so it collects dust. This case does a better job of keeping the components clean compared to the previous case.
final thoughts
before checking out Fantech Eclipse G500A, I’ve always been looking for a smaller case to fit my built-in. It is no exaggeration to say that my mind has changed.that space is Fantech Eclipse G500A Offers when building, upgrading, and replacing components are impractical. No harsh cable routing, but the case has plenty of built-in cable management options.
