China strengthened its patent system, allowing Chinese start-ups to use patents as collateral to attract investment, as the country’s patent system was hampered by bad laws. Investing is now a global game. Move to the place with the best return. So the US is no longer the best place to invest in startups, China is, and early-stage investments are shifting from the US to China.
Debate is suppressed

Issa’s record shows him to be the most unfit for the presidency. One of the driving forces behind the destruction of U.S. patent rights by proposing unilateral legislation against patent rights, Issa has sought the broad support and patent community necessary to protect or restore those rights.
