We want you to know that Tecno takes innovation seriously. After debuting a retractable portrait camera on a smartphone, the company is showing off a concept rotating slide screen phone.
Introducing the Tecno Phantom Vision V concept – a device that aims to spell the death of tablets, but still fits in your pocket. It folds down to roughly the size of a normal smartphone, but expands to fit a medium-sized tablet if needed.
The Tecno Phantom Vision V, for the most part, starts out as a regular foldable when folded. It has a display on the front and a triple camera on the back. Tecno added a small display on the back. This is called the reverse back cover. It shows notifications, reminders, and an always-on style clock.
Opening the Vision V reveals a larger internal display similar to the Galaxy Z Fold4, Xiaomi Mix Fold2, or vivo X Fold+. But the Techno Phantom Vision V Concept can also extend the internal display even further by expanding to a full 10.1 inches.
The display is made up of 11 functional layers that combine flexibility and durability. The casing is made from ‘aerospace grade’ titanium for added durability.
The Tecno Phantom Vision V is a concept and Tecno has not revealed if it will become a commercial product. But who wouldn’t want that?
