If there’s one good thing about getting older, it’s that all the goofy stuff you loved as a kid is now nostalgic material.Original Framed Poster Power Ranger This movie is more of a retro-chic piece than a sad obsession with children’s TV shows. But there’s a difference between simply nailing a bunch of old junk and intentionally decorating it. And the difference, apparently, is about $200.
It’s ironic, especially for those who actually have Star Trek A painting in his house. But I have to admit, his love-filled presentation of Grid Studio, which depicts old technology as art, is incredibly appealing to me, and I think some people are like me. . When I was offered the chance to review his one of their framed and dissected gadgets, I jumped at the chance of his Advance the original Game Boy.
Not museum grade memories
The package came in a stunning presentation, wrapped in high quality paper with an actual wax-sealed ribbon. I think it came I opened it up to find a fairly inexpensive shadow box, flat black engineered wood, and plexiglass with a plastic shipping protector.

The unit they sent me looks identical to the presentation on the Grid Studio website, right down to the indigo color and printing on the GBA itself. Pokémon Ruby start screen. The various parts of the console have been lovingly cleaned and meticulously placed, and it’s clear that at one point it’s a real Game Boy Advance that bounced around a real kid’s backpack. The screen cover may have been replaced, but otherwise has minor scuff marks to indicate authenticity. However, this GBA was not abused.
The stripped and glued parts are beautiful to look at, especially the white PCB. Labels are barely needed, but they look so pretty in a charming pixelated font that you can remember all the hours you spent blowing away AA.

Weird omission here, I understand it’s not a good idea to stick real zinc batteries into things for long term display, but the labels and counterfeits used in some phone designs The Game Boy Advance LCD is also missing. Despite the fact that we’re looking at the front of the PCB, a glimpse through the plastic cover is the only indication that it was once there.Other his Grid Studio game presentations also omit the screen panel. It does, but I don’t know why.
Any color is fine as long as it’s purple
These minor points aside, this is a very good presentation, and presentation is what you pay for. blue) and a selection of game backgrounds or add-on cartridges (.dodgeball advance is the most memorable). However, since it is a product that must be made in a certain amount in China, I understand that it cannot be customized for everyone.

The Shadowbox is a bit cheap for the price, especially considering the wrapping, and the included hanging clips don’t inspire much confidence. The GBA parts remained impressively immobile in transit.
good splurge gift

Overall, I think GRID Studio’s presentation is very polished, and you can leave aside the cheap shadow boxes. If you have enough budget to decorate, it’s nice to arrange them in a series. The company offers more or less all the classic Nintendo portables, plus various generations of his iPhone and other popular mobile phones, as well as some odd gadgets like the Apple Watch. Unfortunately there is no option for the original Zune.
