A new leak from the same source has surfaced, offering details about the camera’s zoom performance, but not in the way you’d expect.
According to Ice Universe, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 series top-of-the-line model will be able to take more natural-looking zoomed photos (via Android Authority) (opens in new tab)). The leaker shared on Twitter what appears to be a cropped image taken with her 200MP camera on the S23 Ultra. It is said to represent a 12x magnification of the main camera, which is powered by Samsung’s ISOCELL HP2 sensor.

The camera samples say a lot about image quality, which is impressive even when zoomed in. Ice Universe says the S23 Ultra’s shots show minimal sharpness, making them “fine and natural” with very few digital artifacts. It is said that it has a “na” appearance.
Cropping a photo usually tends to produce a horrible amount of pixelation and highly processed images unless you use a telephoto lens to zoom in on the shot. What’s the point of having her 3x telephoto shooter on the phone’s camera module, as rumored?
Sources claim that capturing images using the new 200MP Samsung sensor is worlds apart from the ISOCELL HP1, HP3, HM1 and HM3. And if the supposed sample shot works, it sounds plausible.
