TCL Ion X with removable battery launches on Metro in the US

Almost all modern smartphones come with non-removable batteries, but TCL is ready to offer an exception called the Ion X. If you live in the US, you can get it from Metro today for $119. Opening a new line or porting a number can sometimes be free.

The TCL Ion X has a 3,000 mAh removable battery that can be replaced with a new battery if it degrades over time. You can even carry a spare battery for quick charging. After all, a removable battery is the fastest way to have a fully charged battery in your phone.

In addition to the removable battery, the TCL Ion X has two features rarely seen these days: a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The remaining highlights of the TCL Ion X include the Helio G25 SoC, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage (expandable up to 512GB). The smartphone runs an unknown version of Android and has a 6-inch HD display. It has a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front, both capable of shooting 1080p video at 30 FPS.

The TCL Ion X comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C, but doesn’t support 5G networking.
