2. Flashlight
A good flashlight is a must-have for storm preparedness. In my opinion, you shouldn’t rely on flashlights that require USB charging. You need a flashlight that uses standard alkaline batteries, which are usually very easy to find. Alternatively, you can use a crank style flashlight like the ETON crank flashlight above. 3. Power bank
I know you recommended that you already have a power plant, but you obviously don’t carry it around. For power on the go, you need a small power bank that you can carry in your bag or pocket. 4. Radio
When a storm hits, internet and cell phone service can go down. So it’s a good idea to have a battery-powered radio so you can tune in to local stations for important news and information. No radio needed. You want a radio that uses standard alkaline batteries, or one with a built-in crank that you can use to power it for minutes without needing an outlet.

Ok, I know this isn’t a gadget, but I don’t think I’d argue that I need food when the going gets tough. I already use meal replacement bars and shakes for breakfast and lunch to simplify your life.

The Keto Chow Shake is my absolute favorite meal replacement shake. Each shake contains his 1/3 of his daily required nutrition. Preparation involves adding water to an electric shake and shaking. The only caveat is that it requires a fat source such as heavy cream, butter, oil, and avocado. You can make a shake without the fat source, but you lose a lot of calories doing so.I think the Keto Chow Shake tastes great.
