Chat GPT rose to prominence after becoming one of the fastest applications to reach 1 million users (5 days).
AI is booming, and some tout that Chat GPT is trying to steal some of Google’s market share, but are they really competing? The latest innovation in AI, it boasts human-like responses and retrieves information quickly.
Chat GPT is set up to be generally free for now, with a small subscription fee for premium services. AI chatbots make use of (NLP) natural language processing and textbooks, websites, and various article sources.
Chat GPT is a new way to search, but Google doesn’t have to provide well-written, human-like responses.
I doubt Chat GPT will replace Google, but let’s compare the two.

Key differences between Chat GPT and Google
Some differences are pretty obvious, but generally speaking, Chat GPT provides only one answer to a query, whereas Google provides hundreds of them, so use the latter to do your research. You can dig deeper. What other differences are there?

Google already has AI language projects such as Google Assistant, Google Translate, and BERT. BERT is a state-of-the-art language model that can be used for various NLP tasks.
The AI field is evolving so quickly that it’s hard to say what Google will do next, but we can see the tech giant beefing up its language models in the near future.
Chat GPT limitations
Chat GPT can answer a wide range of questions quickly, and if those questions don’t require further investigation, it’s a real-time savings compared to Google, but it has its limits.
Since Chat GPT is trained on text, it has limited understanding of the real world. Chat GPT’s output is clearly influenced by the data it was trained on, leading to potential content bias.
There are many things Chat GPT can’t answer. Instead of trying to find the most relevant possible answer, it might generate nonsensical answers or tell you to ask the question again.
Google restrictions
Google’s reliance on content indexing limits search results to information available on the web. Additionally, Google’s ranking algorithm may prioritize his website’s popularity, which can lead to bias.
Google can sometimes misunderstand the context of certain queries and may return incorrect results.
Chat GPT vs Google: Privacy
Google collects and stores a lot of personal information, but Chat GPT is not in the traditional sense.
