If you’re thinking about buying a new Ford Mustang Mach E, we have good news for you. Ford has slashed prices across its first line of battery electric vehicles. On the low end, the RWD standard-range base model drops $900 and is listed at $45,995. At the other end is a $5,900 markdown on the GT Extended Range, with a current MSRP of $63,995.
In addition to the price cut, Ford will also increase production of the Mustang Mach-E. The automaker now plans to build 130,000 of his BEVs for the North American and European markets, a significant increase from his previously planned 78,000. Increased production reduces waiting times for new cars. This is an obstacle for drivers ready to trade hydrocarbons for electrons. For those who have ordered his new BEV from Ford, it is also available at a low price.

Ford’s move comes just two weeks after Tesla cut some models by up to 20%. The Model 3 RWD at the bottom of the lineup is currently $43,990, making him $3,000 less than last year. The Model Y is also heavily discounted, with $13,000 off the long range and performance models.
“We are not going to make concessions to anyone,” said Ford Model e chief customer officer Marin Gjaja in a statement. , is at the heart of everything we do. We continue to build thrilling and exciting electric vehicles, and we continue to push the boundaries to make EVs more accessible to all.”
The price cut will bring more Mach-E lineups under the $55,000 IRS BEV tax credit limit. Ford markets his Mustang Mach-E as his SUV, but the IRS disagrees, so the IRS’ $80,000 limit on SUVs doesn’t apply here.
The Mustang Mach E will be the third-largest BEV model in the U.S. in 2022, and Ford says two-thirds of sales will come from first-time customers for the automaker.
