There are now several cycling multi-tools that fit inside the bike’s steerer tube when not in use. But the Granite Stash RT Ratchet Tool Kit is a little extra, as the name suggests, because it includes a ratchet socket wrench and his 9 bits.
Available in black or orange for US$69.99, this kit is made by bicycle gear manufacturer Granite Design. The company has previously offered us a more traditional steerer-tube-mounted multi-tool called simply the Stash.
Like the Stash, the Stash RT incorporates a cylindrical receptacle that resides within the steerer tube, inside which is a spring-loaded module containing a two-way wrench and bit. Modules can be moved in and out as needed by simply removing the top cap of the receptacle and pushing down.

The kit includes 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, and 8mm hex bits, a T25 Torx bit, and an extended Phillips #1 bit. Lever arm when attached to a wrench handle.
The entire kit reportedly weighs 159 g (5.6 oz) and should be compatible with most steerer tubes, even those that taper on the inside. stem.
