Poco X5 Pro India launch date is now official

The Poco X5 Pro will be officially unveiled for the Indian market on February 6th at 5:30pm local time. Rumors spread as this information comes directly from Poco India itself via its official Twitter account. Not only that, but the leaked images we showed you last week are actually being used to reveal the date and time of the announcement.

And the star of the show, apart from the upcoming call itself, is Hardik Pandya, a very popular Indian cricketer. His involvement in the launch of the Poco X5 Pro first leaked about two weeks ago when he was spotted making calls with the yet-to-be-released handset.

According to Poco India’s Twitter account and an ongoing teaser campaign, the Poco X5 Pro will apparently not only give you a ‘license to be MAD’ but also ‘kick a bad ass’ and ‘accept a bad ass’. Displays can become “magnifiXent”, mobile phones can “beat the competition” in games, and “make them say your name” (“they” are “your competitors’ as we assume).

These are, as always, bold claims from Poco. According to past leaks and rumors, the X5 Pro should be powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset, paired with 6/128GB of his RAM/storage or 8/256GB. The screen is a 6.67-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 1080×2400, the main camera is 108 MP, with an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro shooter on the side, and a 16 MP selfie snapper on the front.

The Poco X5 Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging (no wireless charging) and the phone is running Android 12 with MIUI 14. Check these specs (or It takes less than a week to disprove it.
