Sony is preparing to launch its second-generation VR headset on February 22nd, and a key part of that preparation is announcing that the PlayStation 5’s supply problems are finally over.
Fans in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg can get their PS5 online at direct.playstation.com. Direct.playstation.com also offers games and accessories, including the newly launched DualSense Edge controller.
The site also has pre-orders for the PSVR2 headset and the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle. Of course, PlayStation is also available from select retailers.

The PS5 launched in late 2020, with warnings of limited supply. Problems with parts supply and logistics forced Sony to cut production, and the problem actually lasted him through 2022.

Coming back to the PlayStation VR2, the headset (with two controllers) costs $550 / €600 / £530 / ¥75,000. A few weeks ago, Sony announced 13 more games with VR support, bringing the total to over 30.
The PSVR2 pre-order campaign started in November, so Sony has plenty of anticipation of how the new headset will be welcomed by gamers, but the news isn’t as good as the company had hoped. Bloomberg reports that Sony has lowered its production target to 1 million units this quarter.
The company has set a shipment target of just 1.5 million units from April 2023 to March 2024, and appears to expect things to slow down after the initial rush of orders. At $400 for the digital PS5 and $500 for the disc version, the PSVR2 is more expensive than the console itself.
