Samsung Galaxy S23 trio has improved cooling with larger vapor chambers

Looking at the Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra teardown videos, we can see that the Ultra has a new, larger vapor chamber to cool the chipset. Small S22? It just had a graphite pad (also see this video for the S22). This year, Samsung made the vapor chamber bigger and even gave the lower Galaxy S23 one of his.

Check out this animation posted by ice universe It shows the growth from last year’s S22 series to the new model announced yesterday. You can see just how much larger the Galaxy S23+ and his S23 Ultra chamber.

You can check these still images instead if you prefer.

Last year, the Galaxy S22 failed to sustain peak performance for a very long time, but it tuned well and degraded nicely (see review for details). This year, his diminutive S23 should last a long time thanks to improved cooling and, of course, the more efficient TSMC-made Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset.

Faster RAM with LPDDR5X running at 8.5Gbps further boosts performance, up from 6.4Gbps on the original non-X variant. Faster UFS 4.0 storage can also help, but be aware that the Galaxy S23 with 128GB storage uses the older UFS 3.1. You can upgrade.
