After a somewhat chaotic 2022, Hong Kong-based e-mobility company Fiido is kicking off the new year with a sneak peek at its upcoming electric bikes, kids’ push bikes and powerful seat scooters.
Fiido has been around for about five years now, and while it has previously had great crowdfunding success with its D11 and X folding e-bikes, the latter’s smooth-lined magnesium-alloy frame proved to be quite problematic. bottom.
Last April, the company’s futuristic-looking folding e-bike was recalled after reports of visible fatigue and numerous incidents of the frame coming apart at the hinge. Heading into the new year, Fiido hopes to put such troubles behind its back and give its website a fresh new look, unveiling a slew of new models for early 2023. The image is rendered, but here’s what I know:

First up is a pair of minimalist city commuters called the C21 (Stepover) and C22 (Midstep). Both rock elegant lines with cables routed within the frame and feature full-color displays integrated into the handlebars, which are slightly angled for optimal viewing.
No mention of hub motor wattage at this time, but Fiido promises “extremely agile power-assisted performance.” Its pedal assist is also responsive, thanks to a torque sensor in the bracket. He also has nine mechanical gears that increase the flexibility of the ride.
