Samsung’s new smartphone series may not be the first flagship product of 2023, but it’s probably the most important one. The Galaxy S23 series is here, boasting a new design, new chipset and major camera upgrades.
The device is available for pre-order now and will start shipping on February 17th. The Galaxy S23 series starts at $799 for the base model and $1199 for the Ultra, but luckily there are plenty of pre-order perks for the Galaxy S23.
So, if you buy, which of the new Galaxy S23 smartphones do you pre-order?
In case you haven’t heard of it, the Galaxy S23 line has some welcome upgrades this year. The new smartphone is powered by a dedicated version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 announced late last year. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy gets higher clocks for better performance and powers the Galaxy S23 series globallythis is a win for everyone.
Along with the new chipset, there are other internal improvements that fans should be excited about. The Galaxy S23 and S23+ have larger batteries, which is welcome, especially when compared to the Galaxy S22 and its short battery life. It’s a change that should be made. We’ve also improved the camera features and upgraded the 12MP selfie camera.
Of course, the most significant upgrade is the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Equipped with Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, the phone is able to capture a lot of detail and has better low-light performance. You can capture an image at 50MP by combining 4 pixels with pixel binning, or capture a 12.5MP image with 16 combined pixels. This new camera is exactly why Andrew Myrick’s wife decided she wanted to move it from her iPhone back to her Galaxy.
Of course, it has an S Pen built-in for increased productivity.
And don’t forget, anyone who pre-orders the Galaxy S23 series before launch will receive a $50 Samsung credit toward accessories on the company’s website. We recommend checking out our S23 cases and screen protectors.
