Now that we’ve welcomed the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra into the office, it’s time to complete the set with the Galaxy S23+. Handing the phone over to our review team, we thought we’d get a peek at the middle member of the S23 family.

Aside from a redesigned camera bump, updated Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and a slight increase in battery capacity, the Galaxy S23+ follows the formula of its predecessor. Without the contoured camera island, the back feels more minimalist. But even though the camera setup is exactly the same, we expect the new chip and its more advanced processing to improve image quality.

Also new is the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 jacket that wraps all three S23 models. Gone are the days of plastic bags.
Meanwhile, the 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ and Full HD+ resolutions. These are all familiar specifications.

I would expect better performance and definitely better battery life.

We’ll run our usual tests and analyzes on the Galaxy S23+ to help you decide if it’s worth your purchase.
