These pocket-sized solar panels are almost unbreakable

We are getting used to it more and more. Every time fiction dreams of a new kind of technology, science does the thing and makes it happen.this time it’s about flexible solar panel; That is correct, curved solar panel.

I’ve speculated that possibility for some time, but apparently mPower technology has been able to achieve such innovation The company’s potential customers have already tried out several prototypes based on this technology, called Dragon SCALES (“SemiConductor Active Layer Embedded Solar”).

These panels are also made of silicon, like the standard model, but the internal architecture consists of a flexible network of tiny solar cells. It is this ‘fragmented’ structure that makes these flexible solar panels possible and thus easier to transport. A standard model housed in a five-foot-long glass panel, something that’s not possible.

Thanks to this new manufacturing process, the satellite will be able to carry folded pieces of solar panels into space and unfold them when it reaches orbit. Caravans could carry them in trunks they set up at campsites to take advantage of solar power, and they could even be folded and carried in jacket pockets.
According to their creators, their network structure makes them last longer, more resistant, require less raw materials, and are cheaper to install. It has the great advantage of not affecting the entire system even if It is therefore easier and faster to install these innovative panels on roofs and windows.
Fortunately, the sight of homes and systems powered by solar energy is becoming more and more common, but thanks to developments like this, this kind of renewable energy is a true sustainability ally. It could be revolutionary. We’ll have to wait and see.
