The totally astonishing performance that Ego Nwodim puts into this sketch is very good, no survivors. The sketch begins innocently enough with the celebration of a friend’s birthday party (Punkie Johnson). However, things quickly go wrong when Nwodim tries to cut the extra, well-done steak. It’s a tough cut of meat, and when Nwodim tries to take a bite, laughter erupts. It’s hard to explain what happens next, but it breaks everyone’s character, and the best break is Bowen Yang after Nwodim claims he’s getting complaints “because they’re black.”
