vivo V27 5G visits Geekbench with 12GB of RAM, unknown MediaTek chipset

Back in November last year, there was a leak that Vivo would launch the V27 and V27 Pro in India later this month. Today, the V27 is purportedly showing up on his Geekbench online database, and prototypes are usually tested closer to the official launch, which seems to bolster the credibility of past information.

The phone I ran Geekbench on is model number V2246 and is naturally running Android 13. Perhaps a little more surprising is the fact that it has 12GB of RAM, which is not often seen in the midrange. No chipset is listed, but it uses a Mali-G610MC4 GPU, so it’s most likely an unknown part from MediaTek. As you can see, the prototype managed 845 single-core scores and 2,217 multi-core scores.

According to new rumors, the V27 will come in 4G and 5G versions, with the V27 Pro only coming in 5G. The V27e 5G will eventually join them all, and its naming suggests it’s the cheapest of the 5G-ready options.

The vivo V27 5G may have some similarities with the S16 5G launched in China in December. That may turn out to be true, but if the V27 5G has a MediaTek SoC, the S16 isn’t just a rebrand because it boasts his Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870.
