What to expect from the OnePlus 11 event?

If you’re living under a rock, here are the OnePlus 11 specs in brief. It sports a 6.7 inch LTPO 3 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The screen has a 1440 x 3216 resolution panel covered in Gorilla Glass Victus.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 12/16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. There are multiple camera setups, including a 50MP primary, a 32MP telephoto and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. There’s also a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The OnPlus 11 has a massive 5,000 mAh battery, but it’s currently unknown how fast it will charge in North America. The Chinese version tops out at 100W, but it’s unclear if the US version will support the same charging speeds, or if it will max out at 65 or 80W like previous models.

The device will likely run Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13 and is expected to receive four OS updates and five years of security patches. Assume the company follows the recent policy change announced in 2022.

One Plus 11R

Rumor has it that we could also see the OnePlus 11R at the event. The device will likely feature his 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh, a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip and support for 100W fast wired charging. We don’t know if we’ll see the same camera settings as the standard OnePlus 11 flagship, but nothing is out of the question.

Given the ‘R’ branding, the OnePlus 11R is unlikely to escape Asia. We’ve never had an R-branded device come out of China or India, and we don’t expect that to happen again.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2

Alongside the new smartphone, the company is expected to announce OnePlus Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds.

Given the promotional images, we can also expect to see the first OnePlus tablet dubbed the ‘OnePlus Pad’. We don’t have any information about the device, but some leaks and rendered images gave us an early glimpse of what to expect. Assuming it becomes available, it could come with a price tag of around $500 in the US.
