Netflix officially guilt-trips us for password sharing, lays out new rules

What you need to know

  • To access Netflix accounts in specific countries, you need to set a “Primary Location”.
  • To add people to your account who do not live in this location, you must pay an additional fee. Also, the higher the number of simultaneous streams, the higher the price.
  • Netflix says you can access your account while traveling, but probably only for a limited time.
  • Beginning February 8th, users from Canada, New Zealand, Portugal and Spain will join the new system.
