A few months ago, the OnePlus 11 was unveiled at a China-only launch event. However, on February 8, 2023, at the Cloud 11 event in New Delhi, India, the device was unveiled to the public with a wide range of products of interest, along with a wide range of products that OnePlus calls part of the 1+4+X ecosystem. It was announced to buyers all over the world.

design and display
The most significant changes in OnePlus 11 are a redesigned camera array and different build materials. This change makes the phone easily identifiable, especially with its circular camera inset with the addition of his four rings for sensors and flash. All of this is built into a stainless steel mold integrated into the familiar polished aluminum frame.
In terms of back panel color and finish, OnePlus is shipping two variants, Titan Black and Eternal Green. The former is a matte black rear glass panel with a textured finish. It’s not as rough as sandstone we’ve seen in the past, and it’s a huge improvement over what we’ve seen on the OnePlus 10T. The frame here has a polished black finish that looks beautiful.
With Eternal Green, you can buy a more beautiful smartphone. It has a glossy silver frame and a glossy green finish on the back panel. If you don’t mind fingerprints or tend to wipe your device clean, it’s a color you’ll love for your phone.
Flip the front to reveal a 6.7-inch 2K OLED display. It refreshes at 120Hz, so it comes with OnePlus’ Super Fluid branding and uses LTPO 3.0 technology, which helps with its adaptive refresh rate (1Hz to 120Hz).
From the front, the panel looked great. OnePlus has never really struggled with its display, and once again shows off quality hardware, especially when you put the device’s price in context. Gender is a hallmark of the flagship.
To get the nitty gritty, flagship brightness expectations have run high, and the OnePlus 11 falls short here. Reports show a typical peak brightness of 800 nits, with HDR content displayed at 1300 nits. increase. Our experience matched these numbers. performance and software
The next hour was spent exploring the device’s UI and smooth experience that sells strongly for its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
OnePlus claims the processor’s CPU unit offers 40% more power efficiency and 35% more performance. As for the Adreno GPU, it is claimed to have 25% better performance and 45% better power efficiency. The smartphone incorporates a new vapor chamber that uses crystalline graphene material to better dissipate heat. We test all this hardware in our review.
On the OnePlus 11, Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.0 comes with the familiar visual elements we’ve seen on the OnePlus 10 Pro and other models over the past few months. They felt just as snappy and smooth with this device.OnePlus also introduced an improved software update policy to this device, offering four Android version updates and five years of security updates. I am also happy.
Other hardware
Before I finish my hands-on, I would like to touch on the other hardware of this device. First, a Hasselblad camera. The shooter that grabs the headlines here is the new Sony IMX890 powered 50 megapixel wide shooter. It features an f/1.8 aperture and OIS to capture images with the perfect balance of color and stability. Then there’s the 32-megapixel telephoto lens. It takes a new approach with a 2x optical zoom and larger sensor size for better results. Completing the camera system is a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter. I noticed that these remain consistent with OnePlus’ past devices and produce excellent shots.
Second, we’ll focus on a battery with impressive durability and ridiculously fast charging. Don’t treat it like a phone. The weight balance and hand feel that OnePlus hits with this phone deserves recognition. Plus, it charges with 80W of power via SuperVOOC (100W outside of North America), so it can run at 100% power in about 30 minutes.
The third is stereo speakers and great haptics to complete the overall experience of the device. OnePlus has consistently improved the haptic feedback on its devices. The OnePlus 11 continues this trend with satisfying pings across all system interactions.

With the number of devices increasing (some weren’t the best) and prices rising, we feel OnePlus has had a confusing few years. It seems that most of us loved the brand, creating a phone that does “offer great value.”
