Praga wowed us last year with its futuristic ultralight supercar Bohema, but the Czech company has taken a retro angle with its first street bike in nearly a century. The ZS 800 combines a gorgeous classic look with a great modern mindset.
This air-cooled beauty is reminiscent of the BD 500 produced in Prague from 1928 to 1933. Like Bohema, Praga looked to Japan rather than developing the engine in-house. Kawasaki’s W800 Retro his standard his 50-horse parallel his twin, a bike that has been properly described once and for all by his very obscene and hysterically funny friend Marlon. Let’s go see everything he’s made so far.
This rather understated motor is housed in a very sexy tubular chromoly frame, with a gorgeous looking girder fork system up front and rocking fully adjustable Öhlins suspension fore and aft. When you say your Back end; rear shocks are for small seat units only. Yes, the ZS 800 has fancy Swedish suspension… on a hardtail. Drum brakes too – didn’t you miss them?

I can’t argue with the visual effects, but this looks great. And there are few. Dry weight is only 142 kg (313 lbs). That’s because titanium (including the entire dual exhaust system, which weighs just 4.8 kg (10.6 lbs)), duralumin alloy and, of course, carbon fiber are the main materials used. Handwoven rims and tank. This is not a tank, it’s a fake tank cover. Because the tank itself is built into the frame structure below.
If you’re looking at all these bits and thinking this might be expensive, you got it – and some. and deliveries will begin in the middle of this year. They only made 28.
While a bit rich for our pockets, the ZS 800 is undeniably an absolute visual feast, with plenty to immerse yourself in from every angle where you can forget where Praga got that motor. There’s a Vikings of Detail.
